Ideate Gives Back – Food Drive & Match
From December 1, 2009 through January 15, 2010, to benefit food banks in Ideate home communities, Ideate Inc. launched Ideate Gives Back - Food Drive & Match.
Ideate will match, can-for-can, food donations received at each Ideate location. Non-perishable food donation collection containers will be located in each of the five Ideate offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Portland and Seattle. Ideate clients are invited to bring donations when they attend any course or event at an Ideate facility between now and January 15.
In addition, Ideate is pleased to partner with the AIA Redwood Empire chapter, supporting a food drive to benefit the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Ideate will match can-for-can, donations received at the AIARE holiday party on December 16. For complete event details and to register, click here.
Like Ideate, the AIARE and its members are aware that many individuals and families in their community are struggling to make ends meet. As Wendy Young, Executive Director AIARE notes, "During the holiday season, let’s work together to make a significant contribution to our community. Please bring in a single can or non-perishable item or an entire bag of food for a family. Whatever you can contribute would be helpful to someone in need. This year, the Redwood Empire Food Bank is feeding almost 70,000 people every month. This number is up 10,000 people per month from last year at this time!"
