AU 2009 - Shared Coordinates by Teresa Martin

“This year, Autodesk has selected six members of the Ideate technical team to present seven classes at AU. We are thrilled to have so many of our expert staff members invited,” says Bob Palioca, President, Ideate, Inc.

Finding Your Way Around Shared Coordinates
Shared coordinates have been an elusive, sometimes confusing idea of the use of coordinates within an Autodesk Revit project. This class is designed to walk you through the steps of utilizing shared coordinates within a Revit building project. Orienting a building project to true north and reviewing the new Project Base point and Survey point subcategories will be reviewed. Techniques for linking files into Revit and defining their locations utilizing Shared Coordinates will be discussed.

Primary software: Revit Architecture

Presented by Teresa Martin, Ideate AEC Solutions Application Specialist
